Your Portrait Session

Everything you need to know about booking your photoshoot

socially distanced

Do you have a pet? Check out Pictures In the Park.

Do you prefer to shoot remotely? Check out Cellphone Sessions as an alternative.

When was the last time you had a  professional photographer take your picture?

No, not in the mall.

Here are a few examples of what I hear from my clients BEFORE their portrait session:

"We don't need our photo taken, we've been married for so many years. I don't know why we decided to go through with this [gift from our daughter] anyway."

"We're not those perfect people in magazines or on social media, ha ha, we are definitely not influencers! We're both over 6ft tall for heavennsakes! Nothing "cute" about that!"

"Just because I'm pregnant, doesn't mean I'm a walking baby bump! And I hate having my photo taken, I feel weird. And it's always so posey and fake."

You don't need a special occasion to remember why you're together, it's not just about your anniversary!

You're not too [insert reason you haven't done this yet] to be adored by all who love you,

and you are definitely worth more than the sum of all your selfies.

Most of my clients are now friends. We've been together through births, immigrations, and Covid-19, to mention a few. Before anything else, I'd love to have a chat with you over a beverage, and begin to build that relationship, and to find out what you do and don't love about this whole photoshooting idea.

We will cover the usual details:

WHERE      WHEN      WHY      WITH WHO

We'll also talk about the overall feel you want - Are you a PDA couple or more low key?

Would you prefer luxurious or laid back, quirky or conventional? A bit of everything?

Most importantly, what is your final vision, your end game?

An accent piece for your bedroom? Are we creating a gallery wall? An announcement for something?

It's really all about you two, who you are individually, and where your relationship is now, these are images that you should be looking at on display and smiling without realizing it -

I want you to give your friends #relationshipgoals

I'll always do my best not to limit our fun together to a specific number of hours, but I will be able to give you a ballpark once we've ironed out the details. Taking many factors into consideration, couples portraits average 1.5 hours from arrival to departure. Based on the aforementioned ironing, I will also be able to give you an estimated selection date, which is usually around 2-3 weeks after our session. This will be the day we get together again, either online or in person, look at your stunning images and make your selection.

Lastly, the booking fee of $350  which you will have paid to secure your shooting day, will act as a credit towards your purchases. Here's is a starter list of some of the products you will be choosing from, made by the best suppliers around the world, either as personalized collections or a la carte items:
