Your Portrait Session
Everything you need to know about booking a photoshoot
When was the last time you had a professional photographer take your picture? No, not in the mall.
Here are a few examples of what I hear from my clients BEFORE their portrait session:
You've been together for so long, you really SHOULD do a photoshoot to prove you made it! You don't need a special occasion to remember why you're together, it's not just about your anniversary!
You're not too [insert reason you haven't done this yet] to be adored by all who love you and
you are definitely worth more than the sum of all your selfies.
Most of my clients are now friends. We've been together through births, immigrations, and hairstyle changes, to mention a few. Before anything else, I'd love to have a chat over a beverage and begin to build that relationship with you, and to find out what you love and don't love so much about this whole photoshooting idea.
We will cover the usual details:
WHERE WHEN WHY WITH WHO
SHOULD I BRING THE WINE?
We'll also talk about the overall feel you want - Are you a PDA couple or more low key?
Would you prefer luxurious or laid back, quirky or conventional? A bit of everything?
Most importantly, what is your final vision, your end game?
An accent piece? Are we creating a gallery wall? A showpiece album?
It's really all about you, who you are individually and where your relationship is now, these are images that you should be looking at on display and smiling without realizing it -
I want you to give your friends #relationshipgoals
I do my best not to limit our fun together to a specific number of hours, but I will give you a ballpark once we have ironed out the details. Taking many factors into consideration, couples portraits average 3 hours from arrival to departure. Based on the aforementioned ironing, I will also be able to give you an estimated selection date, which is usually around 3-4 weeks after our session. This will be the day we get together again, either online or in person, look at your stunning images and make your selection.
Lastly, the booking fee of $350 which you will have paid to secure your shooting day, will act as a credit towards your purchases. Here's is a starter list of some of the products you will be choosing from, made by the best suppliers around the world, either as personalized collections or a'la carte items:
Satin finish Acrylic Gallery Wall starts at $2800 as 9 Square (nine individual pieces, totaling 40"x40")
Matted 8x10 print collections start at 10 prints for $1400 in the Happy Collection
Satin finish Acrylic Wall Art singles start at 16x24 size for $900
All purchases include the corresponding high-resolution digital file, as a Google Drive download (because a USB disappears in a week).
